Truthfully the "Holly King" and the "Oak King" myths in Wicca are real, but theyre' not originally from Gerald Gardner. He sort of stole borrowed the idea from the original Etruscan religion, Stregheria (the "Old Religion" of Italy). The Etruscans were indeed thousands of years old (they were in Italy around 1000 BC). However, I wouldn't expect Laurell to actually do any research further than "omg google wicca". -_-;;
