It's not so far-fetched, actually. You can imprint heavily on your first time, and some people can come away with the impression that it's the "the way" you're "supposed" to have sex (depending on how out of the "norm" it is). Many people who were molested as children wind up as molesters themselves.

My problem with LKH is that, as agatha said, it's becoming a bit of a theme. Too many characters have had such a tragic background, and it's gotten ridiculous. In addition, she's exploiting it to make Anita the object of everyone's affection and only she can cure their broken souls, which is disgusting.
