I live in the UK, and we've only just had Proven Guilty released over here. As for the misogynist comment, viridian5 is the one who brought that to my attention and she's got a post about it, focusing on how it's pretty obvious in the first book, but Harry consistently makes it clear that he considers most of the women he meets less than him unless they're powerful magically. Of course he's nowhere near as chauvanistically arrogant as Richard is, and Harry's a lot braver than Richard, as well as morally superior.
