Perhaps it's not so much an implication, as that Edward seems perfectly okay with his son developing a crush on a woman who is fucking half of St. Louis, at the hormonal and confused age of sixteen, and is having conversations about the kid's sex life to said woman. Especially since similar scenes about sexual history usually lead to someone insisting that Anita is somehow wronging someone by not having sex with them.
