Re: Addendum

Or rather, in Thomas's case, fighting tooth and nail to keep his morals intact and to keep from becoming fully a monster. Harry's soulgaze was pretty indicative he's still fighting it. I don't think the rest of the Raith family even tried. Witness Lara. :/ (Except for Inari. She was *extremely* lucky.)

The other thing with Butcher is that his villains come across as genuinely intelligent and dangerous and prove it. Mavra, Lara, Mab, Nicodemus, Maeve... the list goes on. And unlike Anita, Harry can't just pull a new power out of his ass to deal with them.

And yeah, I agree Thomas comes across as far more interesting and three dimensional a character than JC. He's much more endearing, Vamp or no. Although with the Hunger, it looks more like he's found a way to well... live with it than anything. I think if he knew of a way to completely kill it, he would, because as it is, he can never touch the woman he loves again, and the whole Thomas/ Justine subplot is genuinely painful to watch. In a good way, mind.

At least he found some working solution though, dang it.
