I think Jean-Claude has even stated in the books that "Vampires aren't human." They don't think the same as humans or view the world in the same way.

I bet LKH just uses the "I'm not homophobic...I have gay friends!" excuse if ever confronted with her homophobia/biphobia. I know we're discussing Anita's sexuality and views on sex...but I wonder how much LKH views the ardeur as the reason Jean-Claude is so flexible (aside from the boring notions that all French men/vampires are over-sexed seducers.)

And don't even get me started on race in the AB Universe.
