The thing about LKH flashing this knowledge is that you just know that it's not going to turn out to be a mass murderer. It's pretty much set up from the start that the world will magically twist upon itself like a Gordian Knot to prove Merry right, just so that she can help save the day. I don't think it would occur to her to write the story any other way, specially after hearing about how Incubus Dreams and the whole Vittorio thing was her way of showing that her books weren't all stand-alone mysteries and that sometimes the bad guys get away, and that after finishing Swallowing Darkness she did not want to do any more long story arcs. No, I'm pretty sure the story will unfold exactly as it's set out here and that really leaves no mystery to be interested in. Not that the story will probably even be about that, as I'm trying to find the tweet where I think she mentioned this book was going to be heavy on the sex. SADLY, NOT WITH THE SERIAL KILLER. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING.

MEANEHILE I AM MESMIRISED BY JOHN HAMM DON DRAPER WINKING AT ME.
