I don't have the bio knowledge to agree or disagree that one with you, but there's a big difference between "Narcissus can't get pregnant because s/he's a hermaphrodite" and "Narcissus can't get pregnant because s/he identifies as male". If your equipment doesn't work then that's one thing, but sperm and ova don't care about your gender identification.
