What's really, truly bad is that it doesn't mean *anything*. While it "translates" into "to seep of blood", French grammar isn't really forgiving enough for it to be a phrase that's allowed to exist. It's up there with L. Ron Hubbard language.
I just don't understand what went through LKH's mind when she came up with this. Did she misremember something from two years of French in high school and say whatever, good enough? It's something that shows how little respect she has for her craft and her readers.
