Meanwhile, the faces I'm making while reading these excerpts. Last time I checked, "groin" and "genitals" were not interchangeable words and I'm starting to really hate LKH doing just that. And omg HDU Yiyu want to talk about the relationship that she's in or try to spend some time with Anita, clearly she's going about this all wrong and Anita has NO TIME FOR THIS BUSINESS when she could be having sex with men. It's like Yiyu has wants and needs but who cares because they keep interfering with Anita's life. And Nathaniel being a creepy enabler/manipulator just makes my skin crawl.
Also LKH needs to step off the food descriptions. Not just to spare us the whole agonising fudge ripple mangled metaphors, but because I'm stuck here thinking more about what kind of hinky seafood she's had or if maybe someone needs to go to a doctor...? I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be fixating on that sort of thing. Though I will give this as a step up from Anita's vagina being described as tasting like "like meat and that fresh taste, almost like rain."
