Yeah, I remember speaking to her original agent and his husband about it - they squarely blamed her divorce and dropping of writers' group for the shift. Personally I think some of the rot had already set in - I think Blue Moon and Obsidian Butterfly were the start of the decline. I know a lot of people love OB, but I found it barely coherent in places, and full of stuff that would become signature LKH problems down the line.
