I think that stuff about her having connections (don't forget being friends with authors like Holly Black) are more "how did she get published in the first place" than "how has she become so successful".

As for the other stuff, I kinda knew that already. Partly from accounts from a former online friend from her fandom days, and partly from her statements before and after the movie came out.
