I'm so not in the mood to go trudging through the books again right now, but I need clarification on something:

Next question, is there any definite age on Asher? I know JC is supposed to be *at least* 300yrs old, probably more like 400. But what about Asher?

Crucifixes, do they glow whenever a Vampire is near or only when a Vamp is giving off dangerous vibes to the person wearing it?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I have a question for you. What does the Hebrew text on your icon mean? I am aware that Hebrew is read right-to-left, not left-to-right but it still has a mirror-image distortion look about it. :-)

Starts off whenever the vampire is near but 'evolves' into when the vamp is giving off dangerous vibes. Yay inconsistencies. I guess LKH got sick of having a cross glowing during sex or something UNFL@ERINGLITEOMGNOEZ!!!1!!

Although there is the possibility that the cross glows only when ANITA is feeling threatened, which would explain why it starts out (series-wise) glowing around J-C but doesn't anymore.

From what I remember, there's nothing definitive on Asher's age, and you have to use JC to kind of extrapolate. It was mentioned that Asher was at least two hundred or so when JC came along, and JC is meant to be around 400, so Asher is somewhere in the 5-600 range. I lean toward the older side, because it makes sense in my head.

Marvelous. I was thinking that JC was around 400-ish, since he keeps changing his age and all, and that Asher was around before him. Thankyakindly!

Agreed. It was one of the later bones of contention over the Juliana affair that JC represented himself as more than he was.

Too, the reason for JC's being away at that time was that he was going to attend his mother's death bed. That would have to limit him to within 70 years max for human and vampire age combined at the time of the inquisition happenings.
