Title: "I feel a great disturbance in the Force...", by Jon
It is as if 23 years of my life cried out and were suddenly silenced.
I'm not sure if I can ever watch Star Wars (of any kind) ever again.
Wait... you mean Jon's been alive for more than 23 years? Colour me shocked. I thought most people older than 23 had a better grip on reality, let alone trivial things like, you know, grammar. And taste.
Boo hoo hoo. Jon doesn't like RotS? I'm sure George Lucas isn't going to be able to sleep tonight. He's probably a quivering wreck because of the Mean Nasty People who say Bad Things about his work. Actually, no. Because George Lucas has some common sense.
By all means, Jon, leave Star Wars behind. It's not going to devolve into porn. The protagonist is not going to turn into a sex-driven moron. Besides, Star Wars is a fandom where fans can actually have their say and DEBATE things without being insulted or vaguely threatened by the creator. No, Jon, this isn't the fandom you're looking for; move along, move along.
(Sorry. I adore Star Wars, faults and all, and I'm as willing to bitch about it as I am to gush. Whiny brats like Jon, however, irritate me. Unless, of course, he was trying to be secretly witty and he actually liked the movie. I'm not holding my breath.)
ETA: All-praise to the beautifully subtle
freyalorelei for pointing out that I was missing words. In a post where I was insulting someone else's grammar, no less. Bad me. (Hey, at least I admit to the error!)

Say what you will about Star Wars, any of them, but at least they have a PLOT. Both individually and as an arc.
If Lucas reacted like LKH every time a fan or critic said something OMG MEAN about his movies, he'd be a broken shell wibbling in a corner by now. Of course, he'd be wibbling aboard one of his private yachts in Tahiti, but still.
At least Lucas has a spine and can deal with criticism. I'm not saying he can TAKE criticism, seeing as he's apparently determined to drive his franchise into the ground (3-D OMGWTF??), but at least he doesn't bitch about how the Mean People affect his product and make it hard for him to share his Artistic Vision.
It's not going to devolve into porn. The protagonist is not going [to turn in]to a sex-driven moron.
You mean there isn't a sekrit uncut version with naked!Ewan? Damn.

One cool thing I heard about RotS was that designs for the droids, like R4, were posted about the place and fans could vote on the colour schemes that would appear in the final movie. I found that to be a particularly nice gesture.
I liked the movie, heaps better than the first two combined. I still maintain that the original trilogy was the best. I find the idea that people thinking that Episodes I-III are the BEST STAR WARS EVAR!!! kinda disturbing, that and the idea of Padme/Anakin sex squicky - because of the mechanical hand. Jeebus, I hope he warms that thing up before they try anything. Really.
I hope I wasn't the only chick in the audience that thought that.
But boo hoo, someone doesn't like Episode III. At least both trilogies have plot with their cheese factor. And manly pretty men. And evil that put some effort into being evil instead of just beaming into someone's living room and getting chased off by porn. And plot.
That's not any reason to give up on all the movies. Of course, if he just doesn't like them, he can just not watch them. [/smug]

BAAH! HA HA! Someone should walk up to him, in full Obi Wan outfit, wave a hand in his face and say that. "This is not the fandom you seek."

So, evidently, despite being Queen of the Universe, LKH's paycheque obviously isn't anywhere big enough to be able to truly ignore the little people. Instead, she has to cling onto the notion that she's better than everyone else by insulting them rather than having a nice bank account full of shiny coins to prove that she's fantastic.

With all the wackiness that is LKH, neither she nor her crew have any right nor privilege to touch upon the works of the very talented Mr. Lucas. It's just wrong. It's icky. It's like dealing with spoiled stupid people who use blatant hypocrisy to attempt to prove how they are better then someone who has actually shown talent.
It just irritates me.
Sure Episode 3 may have had some faults, but the overall movie was enjoyable and worth my money. It's been a long long time since I could say that about anything LKH has written.
...but wait Jon hasn't even written anything that I know of...so why the hell is he even posting again? Oh yah, he likes the pseudo-fame he feels that he is getting from getting to hang around with someone pseudo-famous.
I just never ever again want to read anything either of those two have written. period.
