funny & true

This is from one of my favourite cartoons:

I am a librarian and can truthfully attest to the behaviour seen here. I personally gave up after OB but dip in occasionally (I live in hope but live with disappointment). Jim Butcher now provides me with my high quality fix of vampire and magic!

As far as I've read it, it's a character flaw, and one he admits. But how is it misogynistic? He comes to depend on Murphy to be a strong backup and partner, and while he holds open doors and the like, it's not as if he does it because he thinks women are necessarily "weak." Anita may be pissed off because she's all RAWRFEMINAZI, but hell; I wish anyone was half as considerate as Harry is at times. There are strong female characters in the books, some of whom kick his ass. Misogynistic? Uh, what?

I read the first two Dresden books. Murphy is RAWRFEMINAZI, not to mention stupid. And Dresden just bored me, plus the writing itself irked me. Not going to spend any more time on Dresden. I do love the TV show, though.
