I just woke up, and behold, LKH has gifted me with something so very, very beautiful.

I blinked blearily through the first part -- blah, blah, comics as GP#7 marked the end of Brett Booth's art. From #8 onward we get Ron Lim. I remember a while back that there was an announcement about this and this is the reason why GP#7 has been delayed. That, and apparently Stacie M. Ritchie is no longer doing the script adaptions, but nobody saw fit to mention her departure.

Apparently, Blood Noir been fully edited and will be sent back to the publisher in New York (PH34R!) and LKH has been working on Merry Gentry #7.

And succeeded in coming up with a title.

Brace yourselves.

When [Blood Noir] goes off to New York, I get to work on Merry #7, which finally has a title; SWALLOWING DARKNESS.

The bold is completely my emphasis. My only reaction to reading this is, "OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD."

What a wonderful way to wake up, eh?

We're putting the title in the fan club newsletter that should be going out in about five days, and we're putting the new title in it. But I couldn't wait to share. MISTRAL'S KISS, A LICK OF FROST, now, SWALLOWING DARKNESS; I sense a theme.

The first four books had their theme; A KISS OF SHADOWS, A CARESS OF TWILIGHT, SEDUCED BY MOONLIGHT, and a STROKE OF MIDNIGHT. It would be nicely linear if we did four books with the men's name theme, then four more with another theme, but the name theme may go for more than four books. I think it will. I'm already working on new ideas using some of the other men's names. We'll see.

Not after LKH gets her hands on them. Goko will have long, flowing locks of pastel hair. Vegeta will be a little emo who was abused by Freeza and needs comfort sex. Gohan will only find his Super Saiyan powers in the arms of Merry.

I thought "Lick of Frost was a cheesy porn title but "Swallowing Darkness" I think tops them all.

There is no subtlety in the meaning behind the title.

Doyle is "Darkness" and Merry is the "Swallowing"

I wonder if Anita will finally come out and answer questions like Merry in her next books.

Oh gods no. Assuming it's from Anita's point of view, Merry will explain the situation vis-a-vis getting pregnant and Anita will a) make a judgemental comment about never wanting kids and b) say "I don't understand" so someone can explain it to her slowly while she waxes lyrical about the colour of Frost's hair. Then someone will make a snarky comment about "at least Merry's men chose to be with her" and then Anita will cry and Micah will defend her in his own particular pathetic way.

Then we'll get it from Merry's point of view and she'll be all Higher Moral Ground about how she Totally Doesn't Care about Anita's hisem, because she's of the Unseelie Court and that makes her totally chillaxed about sex, except for The Lesbian.

To be fair, he probably just didn't want to be subjected to Anita Hissy Fit #4876987. Although in that case she would actually be justified.

But yeah, that makes me laugh. She's supposed to be all edgy and pushing the limits, and she doesn't even have anal. Give me a break. But then foreplay seems to be largely a foreign concept to her too.
