Another Blog Flog.
I'm almost finished editing STRANGE CANDY.
NO YOU ARE NOT. I don't have to be psychic to know that you are NOT DONE editing it to the satisfaction of your readers. Also...maybe, just MAYBE, you should have someone ELSE edit it. Someone who is NOT YOU.
I'm even a few days ahead of the deadline. Very cool.
If only you'd take those few days and have someone proofread your damn book. Siiigh.
It sounded nifty to have four books coming out in a single year, but somehow I forgot to figure in that whole editing process.
eugrhyjdhasgrfehdsfhasgsagdrjwars.
That was the result of me banging my head on my keyboard in frustration.
I will be spending most of the year with one book or another trading places on my desk.
In other words, her books will probably all be tainted by each other. OH GOD, MERRY WITH ANITA'S STUPID ARDEUR. God help us all.
I think I've finally made peace with the fact that Merry and Anita books collide.
That isn't a GOOD THING, Laurell.
But I doubt seriously I will finish a five hundred plus book in two month's time.
Hopefully that means she intends on pretending to write a plot instead of just copy-and-pasting sex scenes! I am prepared to be disappointed, though.
The editing went well today, and I'm feeling unduly optimistic.
I'm sure the diety is pleased, too.

Also, maybe the lesson here is, do not write books that are five hundred plus pages long. Shorter book = better for everyone. Also, shorter books forces you to compact things down, put in the necessary things (like, y'know, plot) and cut out most of the crap.
Then again, Micah has proved that you can still have a short book that says nothing at all. *headdesk*

LOL. Yesss. That and c/p scenes from one book to another. Like, didn't she do that from that one book (Bitten? Cravings?) and opened that with Incubus Dreams. Like...uhhh...wtf? They're ideally separate books for a reason!!

Why not put out a four hundred or three hundred eighty page book that's actually GOOD instead?

It's criminal, I say. Criminal.

*sighs* To think I told my sister, "You'll really like this book!" (GP) way back when. I feel dirty.
