Challenge #009: Jason's stage name — voting!

Time for voting! (Yay for clicky boxes!) This is a shortened list of all the names that came in, because a lot were standard stripper names, and like I said, I didn't want to try making a poll with 200+ names in it. I figured if my eyes didn't glaze over, yours would.

Rules:
1) Voting closes on January 16. This gives me enough time to get my ass in gear and submit the chosen names, with a bit of time to spare.
2) Please vote for your TWO favourites. Depending on how the numbers end up, we'll submit between 3 and 5 names.
3) The names are in no particular order.

* = The name "Dylan" was submitted quite often, either as a standalone or as Dylan Wood or Dylan Longwood. That's why all the permutations are up there.

So far, the charity idea is quite popular. Of course, we'd have to win first for it even to become an issue, but we'll deal with that if/when the time comes. If not, we can try to come up with another challenge that would allow us to donate to a charity.

(NB: It's been a while since I've made a poll. If I screwed it up, just let me know and I'll fix things up.)

Cool, I didn't know you could do polls here!

Captain Caliente, hee hee!

She has a paid account so she can make polls. ^^

Captain Caliente FTW!

Will you be revealing other submissions by any chance? I'm dying to know if people have submitted Pomme de Bang or Ulfdick or anything wankier. XD

[identity profile] daphne-gateau.livejournal.com 2008-01-11 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Pomme de Bang! *dies* I would have so voted for that.

Oh god, please do! These are hilarious, I'd love to see the funnier stuff!

Oh my god, I would totally vote for those! :D

Why am I seeing the results before I even voted?

If it counts doing it this way, I like El Kadong and Dancealot dink.

I'm having the same problem. I'll try to vote again later this weekend.

Awesome choices!

Why was Dylan so popular? Am I missing a joke?

[identity profile] othellia.livejournal.com 2008-01-11 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a 91210 thing. People talked about it here (http://community.livejournal.com/lkh_lashouts/327395.html?thread=9923555#t9923555).

[identity profile] no-ron.livejournal.com 2008-01-11 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
it would seriously crack me up to see the name we pick in the next book..
:))))

[identity profile] ellenel13.livejournal.com 2008-01-11 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I fail so I picked three by mistake. Sorry.

[identity profile] azikale.livejournal.com 2008-01-11 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoops...that will teach me to read a post from the bottom up! I may have accidentally picked all the ones that mane me giggle.

Stephen Colbert! Stephen Colbert!

[identity profile] bludflower.livejournal.com 2008-01-12 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Great icon. I *heart* Oscar.

[identity profile] estllechauvelin.livejournal.com 2008-01-12 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
That was mine. It's a contest on the Internet to name something. Therefore, people have to vote for Stephen Colbert.

Ay Capitan, me Capitan

[identity profile] bludflower.livejournal.com 2008-01-12 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
I totally sulute Captain Caliente.
Ay, ay, ay...!

[identity profile] sap-girl.livejournal.com 2008-01-12 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
For as much as I love Captain Caliente and Stephen Colbert, do most of these have a shot at winning? I know Ma Petite Enterprises aren't exactly members of MENSA, but they're not about to name Jason "Knob Barker" because that wouldn't fit with their klassy world-view. Not that I'm looking for recognition from LKH, but I would love for Lashouts to win the ARC because it sounds like we want to do something more worthwhile with it than just "OMG squeee ARC!"
Just my $.02.

And yes, I admit, I didn't submit a name, so I have no real right to whine. Sorry.

[identity profile] x-trickster-x.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
Don't say that! Stay away from my Romantic poetry/Watchmen, LKH! I will defend it with my life! *brandishes shotgun*

Re: Stephen Colbert- probably not. But I think it's damn funny.

[identity profile] brandiweed.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
I'd still love to see "Gareth Gobulcoque," but we'd have to give original credit to Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.
