Jon & I just finished our second tactical shooting class at Asymmetric Solutions. We are beyond exhausted, but it was amazing training. Learning so much for both real life situations & my fictional ones. Hands on research is always different than I think it will be & it changes what I write in ways I never imagine until I'm there, doing it. No amount of books, or articles can teach me what I learn from using a weapon for real, or as real as I can get as a civilian. Now, for showers & early bed. My hat's off to all our men and women in the Armed Forces who do this every day & in heat that makes Missouri seem cool & pleasant. You guys are bad ass, I just write this stuff.

On the upside, she kinda (probably unintentionally) admitted that her main characters are self-inserts.
Also, dear lord, with the commas again. Woman, you're a professionally published author. You should know how basic punctuation works.

My concern though, is that she will use the research, but it'll end up a huge data dump of mostly unnecessary preparation details before Anita and Co. head into some dangerous spot (wherein the main conflict will not be solved with guns at all).
