I was doing sort of a mental count and realized that I haven't paid for a single book by LKH. Ever. The first two Merry Gentry books I got as Advance Copies from my sister who used to work for the publisher. (The advance copy of A Caress of Twilight was a big ol' mess--I checked out the actual book from the library and noticed some significant improvements, which indicates that at least SOME editing is being done.)
All the AB books I have read were either borrowed from my roommate or from the library.
Right now, I'm waiting a bit before attempting to check out Dance Macabre from the library, since it seems a lot of people are doing what I'm doing--borrowing instead of buying.
When I do get it (I may wait until after my NaNovel is done) I plan on reading it for the sheer amusement value of the ridiculousness of it. Kinda like the way I rent out bad movies for fun.
