Has anyone had any bout of temporary insanity and purchased Strange Candy? I was at Borders yesterday with my sister, and she decided she wanted it, but I only got a chance to skim the first short story. It seemed oddly AU in some parts for Anita Blake, even considering how inconsistent LKH is, but I heard it was a early AB story. Can anyone confirm or deny? Also, would someone be kind enough to give me a snarky summary of each story so I don't have to satisfy even the slightest urge of curiosity I might have regarding the book?

Nope, no desire to buy her short stories here. I think I remember something along the lines of it being an early AB idea on one of her blogs. I think one of the stories about her being a struggling writer and actually having the stories she wrote at 17 turned down. Or something along those lines. ;)

If I ever happen along on a free copy I'd try my hand at snarking it. Otherwise.... *watches the community hopefully*

I have a copy, my mom's a librarian and pulled some strings for me so i wouldn't have to buy it, or wait for it. After i finish snarking chapter 20 of Danse Macabre, i'll be happy to summarize it and then rip it to shreds :)
