I... now have something in my head about the Anita books and market repositioning. Like... she went from aiming for a noir, gritty, horror world to aiming for a dark gawth romance world. And not in a good, keep-both-audiences way. You could take a series and change it, I think. If she had kept the tighter plots and gore and horrific stuff instead of butchering it all for the sake of keeping her imaginary friends safe and cuddled... it's like she... blew apart her own marketing premise?
I know nothing of Elder Scrolls but now I am intrigued. I'll have to investigate this!
