So I had a thought

This comment wasn't originally long enough to be a post of it's own. I didn't think it'd be very long at all. And I was just going to comment here where recommendations where / are still being given. However, I realized there is actually a story behind it. And more, that the story got me to thinking.
My roommate's on
anita_blake_fan and read about this lad who just finished OB and got so excited because he enjoyed it so much, he ordered the next three books. He's eagerly awaiting UPS. She looked over at me on the couch and said 'Do you think I should tell him?"
And there I was "Of course! Does he still have the bill? Can he cancel? We should give him recs. Come on! Be a good human being. It's not like he's asking you to believe in God!" (She's agnostic).
After a bit of giggling. Because apparently my statement was funny. She agreed and we racked our brains trying to come up with authors together. I pointed her to the recs in the memories of
lkh_lashouts and to the newest post. Neither of us has heard of Jennifer Armintrout. And we were sure we were forgetting things. So in the end she linked directly to the memories section as well.
I just peeked at it and she thought I was actually reccing Lilith Saint-Crow. Oh the shame. Because I enjoy the universe but not the main character. Annnnyway.
It left me thinking about the innocent.
I stumbled across LKH's books on a shelf in a bookstore (B.Dalton), likely more than 10 years ago. It was near Christmas time, and I was tired of shopping, but just didn't want to go home yet. And the bookstore was warm. So I found some things to read, and found myself hooked on the tough cookie female detective/animator.
Of course, I still had a couple of years to go, including buying and borrowing more of the series, before things all went south after OB into NiC. I was an innocent who got burned.
But what about people who pick up her books, somewhere within the first 10 and end up thinking they can just continue?
It made me think about Tom Cruise Is Nuts.Com and wondering if maybe just having LKH_LASHOUTS is not enough. If there needs to be a site, getting a lot of hits on google to warn people. I mean if they like sex, well more power to them, even if they're warned it's bad and non-representative of actual human, carbon based coitus. At least they'll have been making an informed decision.
But if they actually wanted an adventure or thriller or mystery or a good love story - we could...direct them elsewhere? Especially if they were young teenagers curious about sex. We could send them to Scarlet Teen and other places instead?
I know there's a wiki around somewhere. I've seen mention of. But is a site the thing? Or would the wiki be the thing, with a domain name and a big wiki section on recommendations and real world information? Because there are a lot of innocents out there. And we talk a big game here about what she's doing (wrong)for women's rights over their bodies, and women's concepts of sex and type casting and backtracking on rape and all sorts of things. But we're preaching at each other in the choir.
/end babble and shifting thoughts.
