Sex. The object of the book was angst and sex. Anita has sex with about a bizillion men and then gets pissed when they look at her as a sex object. Richard and she fight. Micah is perfect. JC and Asher almost get to have a relationship but Micah blocks it.
As far as plot (and I use that word lightly) Anita might be pregnant. JC in a fit of what I assume to be drug induced stupidity invites a vampire ballet that he is sponsoring into St. Louis and then invites MOTC from Chicago, Hollywood, Cape Cod and other places to watch. Instead of watching the ballet everyone gets to watch Anita have sex instead.
The MOAD makes an appearance and is about as useless as every other villan in the place.
That's it. That is the plot. The official explanation of the book is vampire politics. If DM is an example of how vampire politics then I don't know how come they aren't all extinct.
