They should buy the pet they want, but if they specifically want a mutt (and that's what a "puggle" or "labradoodle" is), there's no reason to not get one from a shelter. And of course there's a difference between serious breeders who care and puppy mills, and I'm not blaming the former for anything, in case you got me wrong.
