wtf is up with the reclassification of squirrels to birds? How is it a 'tradition' religious or otherwise if she just makes it up to suit her convenience every year?
To be honest, I like the idea of 'first bird'. To me the fun is in the surprise of what bird finds you. And if you don't see one in the first 15 minutes of Jan 1 then just be a *teeny* bit patient. We will all see a bird eventually. Geez. If you see a bird on Jan 2 or not until Jan 27th, that would still be your first bird. Why can't she get that?
