And for the record, I am Goth, and we're not an unhappy angsty lot. Sheesh.
Note that I always use "gawth" when referring to her. A couple years ago, one of my goth friends explained the differences between punk, emo, and goth. To this day it saddens me to see so many emos parading around as goth. Therefore, I have given them their own subclass under "gawth," which unsurprisingly is only below "incomprehensible fanthings" on my list of Scum of the Literary Universe. :D
That said, I am actually very positive when it comes to actual goths. I'm not goth myself, but I have a few very close friends. I suppose if I was anything it would be an extreme Victorian-era lover with a morbid sense of taste and humor. I look and act just like every stereotypical book-nerd in the classroom though.
