Yep, they do that here too. (: Although one can, if one is a teacher of said language, teach the language to various groups inside the said organisation. However I'm betting, as you did, they would actually try and hire someone a bit saner. You know. Like a teacher, rather than a random psycho. It's not that uncommon to speak a foreign language... it's not like he's the only one who can teach Sumerian to the poor lads. And what fun that could be!
