Title: Narcissist On Crutches     OR         Pack Your Bags For A Visit To Whine Country

Maybe third time is not the charm. But this has been my day. Sick, tired, in pain, trying to find a place to end this book that will be satisfying, but not drive me and my editor crazy on the deadline. Even Christmas music didn’t cut it today.

Oh, life can be so cruel and melodramatic!  Sick, tired, and in pain? Welcome to adulthood, sweetheart. What must it be like to have such a fate? Making millions by being a hack...oh, the horror!

 Either I’m hurting a little less, or my body is adjusting to the pain. Either way, you begin to feel better. Anyone that doesn’t understand that last bit, has never had an injury that didn’t quite get back to normal. Lucky you. 

She's one of those people that when asked to rate their pain on a scale from 1 to 10 always say  "167", because her injuries are ALWAYS worse than everyone else's. Lucky you, burn patients. Lucky you, lepers. Lucky you, people who don't know what REAL pain is! REAL pain is a sprained ankle, dammit! And the pain just never goes AWAAAAAYY!!

Anita should ache in some of the injuries. Ache when the pressure changes. Ache when you stress it. Ache when you sleep on it wrong. Ache when you over use the muscles that have compensated for the original injury. I guess, if she heals most things, that she might get to skip all the after effects, even of the scars she already has; cool. 

Does this make ANY sense? WTF is she talking about? Is she talking about herself, or the fictional character? Oh, wait, they're the same person! But, LKH, if you got to heal everything you wouldn't be able to complain endlessly about it, and be the stoic sniveler.

I remember they asked me that back when I had a kidney stone. I said "8" because I was pretty sure there were worse pains than mine like childbirth or limb amputation. My mom told me I had to switch it to "10" if I wanted them to start giving me pain killers. Took two doses of morphine before I could finally lay down.

Does this make ANY sense? WTF is she talking about? Is she talking about herself, or the fictional character?

I think LKH is jealous of Anita's ability to heal very quickly. LKH thinks Anita should suffer from injuries because LKH suffers from injuries. That doesn't fit in with canon though, so she just ends with "cool." I hope that makes sense.

LOL, unfortunately it does make sense... even if LKH's logic is... well, not logic at all. What does her fictional character have to do with all this, at all??
*rolls eyes* And... isn't she the author though? If she wanted Anita to suffer with her injuries, than why did she invent that stoo-peed ardUer that makes Anita a living vampire/succubus/annoying bitch and gives her the ability to heal wounds faster??? Could LKH be more whiny???? *rolls eyes again*

As for the last part: Don´t try to understand. Anita is so awesome and removed from reality that of course she won´t have any aches from her injuries. Or the pain her stupidity should cause her.

Hmmm... I'm thinking maybe I should go over to my blog and make a post detailing how painful it is to have period-related headaches (and boy, do they hurt) every time (or week) I have one. Hmmm... nah.

LKH is teh queen of whining. And she says she doesn't like to whine? I shudder to think how her blog would be if she was actually a whiner... erm... ^___^

Her voice shifts confuse me. Third person, second person, first, then back to third again.

As I read that paragraph, it says that Anita should ache when I stress one of my old injuries, or sleep on it wrong, or over-use muscles? Why would my old injuries affect Anita?

...or can LKH just not keep her pronouns and voice straight? I thought her comma abuse was bad, but this may be worse.

I just want to say that this blog (not the flog) pissed me off more than any other LKH blog I've read. I like many other people on this board have a chronic pain. Mine is from a knee injury where the repair surgery was kind of successful. As in, it'll hold my weight but it hurts like hell. I'm lucky-eventually my knee will be fucked up enough that I'll find an ortho to do a full replacement. In the meantime I manage to spend 5-6 hours a day walking or climbing stairs on my bad knee. (I work in construction.)

LKH who has the money and a job that allows her to stay home has turned a sprained ankle into a compound fracture.

Well, I wasn't doing much research between the times when I got the stone and when they asked me that question so... yeah. I think I was trying to be humble through the pain. XD
