After the nightmarish year that I've had getting crap crossing my desk, I'm no longer terribly surprised that there's so many errors in the books. After a page or two of looking at the horror of what should be English, your eyes kinda glaze over and you want to throw the thing aside and inject bleach into your eyeballs. Or, at the very least, set fire to the manuscript. I'm at the point where I just refuse to read beyond the first page if it's that terrible.
I can just see one of LKH's editors just going, "OH GOOD LORD," stuffing it back in the envelope and sending it back to her.
I yearn for one of her editors to bitchslap her into spelling stuff correctly. This is basic stuff, and I don't buy into her "mild dyslexia" thing. She gets umpteen people to read her work, rabid fanboy husbands and fangirl Darla aside, they should pick up on this shit before it goes before a professional editor.
