I am disgusted that LKH used "dick" in a rape scene (while still avoiding it in sex scenes of course.) Maybe it's just me, but while I'm happy to see that kind of term used in consensual sex scenes, seeing it used in a rape scene -- one in which Anita isn't even the victim, just watching -- feels very gross. Objectifying. If the viewpoint character were the victim, that would be another thing, but she's only watching this happen to someone else. THIS is the time for avoiding clear descriptions.
