How did I miss this? The research claim blows my mind. Her wereanimal behavior is nothing like the behavior of real-world animals, her understanding of law enforcement and firearms is laughable, and she appears to have only the vaguest understanding of how government and organization work. Her worldbuilding has gaps large enough to house all the inhabitants of Monster Island with room to spare and almost nothing in the books is believable any more. Saying otherwise doesn't magically change any of this. It is clearly untrue.
