Yeah, that whole first obnoxiously long paragraph is just her covering her butt. I'm thinking the "we want to make a video" explanation is just an excuse made up at the last minute.
But I really want to focus on that last paragraph. According to the Pew Research Center, as of 2014, "Other Religions" (which consists of "Sikhs, Baha'is, Jains, Taoists, Unitarians, New Age religions [which is pretty much all pagan/neo-pagan/Wiccan/etc], Native American religions, etc.") accounts for a whopping 1.8% of the population of the United States. So, sorry to burst your bubble, Laurell (wait, no I'm not) the pagan/neo-pagan/Wiccan/whatever community isn't rally much of a viable market for corporate America. They aren't some great untapped source of revenue, they're barely a blip on corporate America's radar, if that. Those companies would do better to focus on marketing to the Jewish (1.9%), Muslim (0.9%), Hindu (0.7%), and/or Buddhist (0.7%) communities. This isn't them being mean or inconsiderate, it's just good business. I'm certain there are plenty of small businesses more than willing to focus on this particular demographic. But corporate America? Not going to happen, at least not now.
