LKH_Lashouts Icon Challenge
Aug. 21st, 2006 06:20 pmHere at LKH_L, we like shiny things. We also like snarky things. So if something is both shiny AND snarky, we're hooked. Alas, the community's default icon is neither shiny nor snarky—verily, we have no community icon at all. Thus, an icon challenge. Create a wickedly funny (or just plain wicked) icon—or many icons, if you like. Once the competition is closed, the icons will be posted for all to see, the community will vote and, in the grand tradition of reality TV, only one will emerge victorious!
Deadline: September 22, 2006
Rules:
1. You may enter as many icons as you like, as long as they were all made by you. DO NOT steal anyone else's work and claim it as your own. If you have multiple entries, please send them to me in bundles, not one by one.
2. DO NOT POST YOUR ICONS TO THE COMMUNITY. E-mail them to lkh.lashouts@gmail.com. Please include your LJ username. If I remember, I will reply to confirm your entry.
3. Icons you've already made are eligible, but new ones are preferred.
4. Icons must meet LJ's standards of size, etc. I will do a test upload. If LJ will not accept your icon, it will be removed from the contest.
5. By entering your icon(s) in this contest, you allow both the community and its members to use said icon(s), as long as you are given credit for creation.
6. When it gets to the voting stage, please play fair. No campaigning for or against any icon or creator. Don't vote for an icon just because it was made by your friend and likewise don't vote against an icon just because you don't like the creator. Do not reveal who made what—a moot point in the case of previously posted icons, but c'est la vie.
7. Try to keep the icons based on LKH's fiction, not her life. No insults, threats, etc. directed to her or her "people" are allowed.
8. Use common sense. Just because something isn't mentioned in these rules doesn't automatically mean it is or isn't allowed. Heed Rule #9: ASK ME!
9. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns about this contest, please e-mail me at lkh.lashouts@gmail.com. If rules need to be altered, I'll bring it to the community's attention.
Note: "I didn't know" or "I wasn't sure" are NOT valid excuses. You're free to ask me any questions at the gmail address, so if anyone claims the rules are unclear, their submissions will be removed from the competition.
