This time I woke up still puzzled.
Why do I have the feeling this happens to her pretty often?
I'd been under the deadline gun for so long that I'd been like a bull in the china shop, and forgotten that sometimes that method just doesn't work. Sometimes all you get is frustration and broken dishes.
Sometimes, honey, you just need to slow down. Less quantity, more quality.
Went to the wild bird store...
"I'd like an order of cardinals and a bluejay to go, please"
"Would you like sparrows to go with that?"
... and the metaphysical shop.
Do they give bulk discounts on metaphysical sex?
I mean if the gentle solution doesn't work, you can always revert to something more forceful later.
Jon asked me, "Did you enjoy yourself." My reply, "Finally, yes." He said, "Finally?" I nodded
Until I started reading this blog, I didn't realize just how much LKH=AB Her blog/life reads like one of her books.
The last line reads a lot like Anita's harem testing the waters to see how she's going to react before saying something that might get them psychially slapped down.
He hugged me and said he loved me. If you don't understand why he said he loved me at that moment than I'm not sure I can explain it. Jon and I love each other sometimes because of our faults, or we at least find them charming.
WTF? Does this woman think she's the first one to discover love/marriage/long term relationship?
And somewhere I just let it go, and relaxed into the concept that I would not work today. A hard concept for me, but I finally managed it.
If you're having that hard a time taking a day off and relaxing you are having Serious Issues. Of course Ani-- >cough< LKH is SUCH a author-diety that she has to force herself to be a mere mortal...
In fact it was nice. I went to the coffee and tea shop and picked things out instead of sending someone with a list.
I guess Micah and Nathaniel had the day off, too.
I got teas and coffees that were new to try, as well as what I would have listed. It was nice.
In that case, maybe you should go to the "plot and character shop" in person and try something other than Preternatural Effeminate Stud Sex in your novels.
