I did think Rhys = Jason at first, but I find Rhys an utterly repulsive character, whilst I have a soft spot for Jason, so I can't bring myself to think they might be one and the same. Griffen does seem to match up well to Richard though - or possibly Anita's nameless college fiance who dumped her because he had an omgracistmother.
(That's at least three racist mothers in the Maneaterverse by my count - Merry's, Anita's stepmother and Nameless College Fiance's mother.)
