*sigh* clearly this is yet another example of LKH's research going as far as looking at a calendar. If she knew anything about the Holly King/Oak King mythology, she'd know that holly itself represents the wanin gportion of the year...but no, holly is a holiday plant! therefore, of course he must be crowned at Yule! Silly Wiccans, this makes so much more sense, can't you see that LKH knows far, far more about the religions/mythologies followed for centuries than all of you?
