That would be Kim Harrison's third in series. There were two others before it, and I recommend them highly, too.

'Every Which Way but Undead' just came out Tuesday, and I'm loving every second of it.

SO what's this got to do with LKH? Simple. Harrison's the one who's taken the place of honour and favorite status that the older, and once much beloved Anita Blake novels held as they came out, as it seems that any new ones by Hamilton are going to continue to suck eggs. That would upset me far more than it does if not for Kim Harrison's wonderful series. I now have those to actually look forward to.

To hear me crap on further about why I think that Kim Harrison and her novels rock.

I was about to do this exact same thing!!! (And I am completely serious about this.)

The new Harrison book is SO GOOD.

I like ALL of her characters more than I like ANY of LKH's characters.

I actually got turned on reading the ONE sex scene in her book, not grossed out like I am reading the 8 million sex scenes in any LKH book.

SHE CAN ACTUALLY WRITE. SHE CAN CONSTRUCT A PLOT.

SHE CAN SPELL!!!

Though I wanted to see more of Trent. Hopefully in the next one.

Bzuh. You know my stance on Kim Harrison books. Jim Butcher has that place in my heart now.

THe Stackhouse books? I skimmed those, but the writing seemed about on par with- OMG I can't remember the Rachel Morgan author. In any case, I wasn't sure I could get through those.

How are they?
