So, in this RPG.net post, someone asks for advice on the best gaming system to use for a Buffy/Dresden Files/Anita Blake feel.

Ah, rpg.net. I haven't been over there in years. Tell me, does using a female username still get you loads of A/S/L questions every time you pop up?

I think my husband still posts there occasionally, but at times RPG.net was nuts.

If you were playing Anita as it is now, you'd definitely have to use Vampire: The Masquerade. Or F.A.T.A.L. (please note, that's a joke!)

Seriously though, I once ran a game in the Anitaverse using C J Carella's 'Witchcraft'. It went quite well :)

Yeah, my vote goes for either Unisystem or old-school WoD. One of the DMs in our group has run Anitaverse games before, and we found that it, too, fit quite nicely.

I was familiar with WoD before I started reading Anita, so I always sorta thought LKH was just a gamer who couldn't get the other players to love her AWESOME character enough and started writing stories herself. ;)

This hypothesis once caused an impromptu dramatic interpretation of "Anita Blake: LARP Character" wherein Anita attempted to sexx0r the game with her AWESOME powers and was promptly eaten by a werewolf. ;)
