Hello everyone. I'm new here and everything, but I have a proposition to make.

My Idea

My idea is that we create get together and create a letter with all of our complaints about the series - bad editing, horrible plot (or lack there of), etc. It's a simple idea, I know someone has thought of it before. Everyone then sends a copy to the publisher, bombarding them with complaints so that they have to realize the amount of dislike. They can choose to ignore it or take it into consideration, but at least it's a start.

Any comments? Suggestions? Ideas?

I seriously thought about drafting such a letter only a few weeks ago - and I'd send it, along with a fully edited copy of Incubus Dreams. Just so that they can see how poorly this work reflects upon them, and the author.

There's the probability that saying, "Thanks for nothing" will get your letter ignored.

However, if you can phrase it in a polite and professional matter and clearly outline your concerns - then it'll probably be read and taken seriously.

I know there's a section on the publisher's website that addresses faults in publishing etc.. - I'll see if I can dig up the link / information when I get home. It came in real handy when I had to return Cerulean Sins for having 33 pages missing in the middle.

You just voiced the opinion of IMO the vast majority of fans.

I know in the [livejournal.com profile] anita_blake_fan community, most people tend to side with the, "Jeeze, I wish there was more plot!" set, but there's still the rabid fangirls that luv teh hawt s3xx0rz - though, since we've now got three moderators (*bows*) the flaming has pretty much stopped. It's actually been kinda refreshing to get the people what love the later books actually give reasons as to why they like them. I don't totally agree with those reasons, but then, that's what sparks off a lively debate.

Heh. Writing horrible death scenes (not for AB, cuz...they were good back then) is what got me through high school.

I read a pretty good fanfic not that long ago, about how the Council came to town and pretty much killed everyone, Anita got turned into a vampire and it was up to Edward to carry out her living will.

Snap! Now THAT should be the next book! Would you mind...sharing it, if possible? Wub to read it!
