Zombie books?

I know a lot of people in this community started reading Anita Blake books for the vampires/weres and urban fantasy, but did anyone else originally start reading it for the zombies? (I don't feel so bad about posting since there's been quite a few requests of this nature recently)

I've been searching for more books on zombies to read but with exception to Resident Evil and Max Brooks 'World War Z' and 'The Zombie Survival Guide' I can't seem to find any that aren't for pre-teens. Any suggestions?
