Kids are precious. They deserve every chance at some kind of peace in their childhood and teenage years that they can eek out.
Amen to this. I would literally go to the ends of the earth to ensure that any child of mine have a better childhood/teenage years than some of the people that I know have had, that to an extent I have had. Hell, I'd kill to make that happen.
Childhood may be a social construct but they deserve happyness and peace as much as they can.
Hiding a thing like that will kill you. Plain and simple. If it doesn't take your life it will rip out your soul and leave you empty. The best thing to do, no matter how hard is to find a way to share it with someone that you can trust and then trust them to help you heal yourself.
I just wish that LKH could heal herself of whatever is driving her to have to bang on and on about the things she does in the way that she does.
