I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but when I go to read lkh's blog (cause I just can't seem to stay away) I really don't want to read entries from Jon-fanboy.   I also don't want to read entries by Darla, the regulator.    Don't they have their own my-space accounts, or blog?    Next thing you know she's going to have her "bodyguard" Cookie Monster  Charles bloggin on her site, explaining the wonders of weaponry.   Or posting about the wonders and dangers of bodyguarding the great omnipotent Anita Laurell.   If I wanted to read entries by her sycophants  staff I would look them up.

I've been looking at a few other author blogs, and I haven't seen any of their husbands, or assistants blogging on their site.

Because all aspects of her live are just so interesting, but she really doesn't want us to know about her personal affairs. *facepalm*

I wish they would all just stay in their ivory tower and leave us alone. The only thing that blog is good for is wankage.

Could you please remove the formatting from this post so it's just plain text? Large, bold and in italics with text packed together is difficult for a lot of people to read. It also comes across strongly, like typing all in caps is considered shouting.

Thanks.

Well, Neil Gaiman does let Maddy (his daughter) guest blog, but that's nothing but WIN. *g*

So was I! Yeah, the difference being that Maddy is actually entertaining . . .

But that's letting his kid get a kick out of it, which is win. Besides, she's actually blogging about stuff she does with her dad, so it's book-related.

Well, kiddies don't count. :) They tend to be more entertaining than Jon and Darla. Besides you know Maddy doesn't want to ride Dad's coattails to fame or anything, she's just having fun...

I was also going to mention Gaiman and his daughters (while I have not yet seen the younger one blog yet, she was allowed to interview Neil on one of his audio books)
but I think it could be interresting to read from LKHs bodyguard
(esp if he gives us the answer why she needs him)

I guess someone doesn't pay them enough to keep their livejournal or myspace up.

I know of one author with a blogging spouse.

Patricia Briggs's husband, Mike, often blogs on her website (http://www.hurog.com/), but as he's a good and informative writer and she honestly seems to busy (with her current 6 book contract) to do any blogging herself, the fact that Mike is writing has never bothered me.

You all would like Briggs's books. Her latest series focuses on werewolves, but vampires are also a part of the world, and none of her heroines or heros have crazy and bad sex all over the place.

I enjoyed the two of her books that I read very much. I just finished Blood Bound not too long ago.

I personally liked the Dragon duology. Before the Moon Called series (which is about a coyote skinwalker that was raised by wolves since she is the last of her kind), she was more known for her Dragon Bones and Blood books on Hurog. Hence, the website name I take it. The main character is male and there is no sex. From what I gathered from the book, you'll either like it or hate it. But I must say, that over time Mrs. Briggs' writing has greatly improved and I think her new series is more likeable than previous ones.

I've read all Briggs's books, but my favorites are her Hurog and Raven duologies. The Hurog duology (the Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood novels) features dragons, magic, tyrants, and insurection. The Raven duology (Raven's Shadow and Raven's Strike) freatures more magic, a kingdom in peril, and music. The two duologies are not connected. All of the books have some graphic and violent imagry, but I remember the Hurog set as having more.

I tend to prefer these duologies even over her new Mercy Thompson series, but that's likely because of my strong preference for sword-and-sorcery novels.

Also, Briggs has posted the first chapter of each of her novels up on her website (including for a couple of her books that haven't been released yet). You may want to browse through there and see if anything catches your eye.
