The last person I saw who was so twisted up in their own characters(note that that's twisted and not twisty, but perhaps that would also be an appropriate adjective re: Ms. Hamilton and her characters) was an unbalanced Vampire: the Masquerade player I knew in high school.
Three dimensional characters who live in your head? Awesome. A semi-real world? Cool! A real world with characters who talk to you, that you talk back to, that you treat as if they're your bestest twue blue friends? The men in the white coats are coming, haha!
Edit: Y'know, paid accounts pay for themselves when I can change "character" to "player" and not have to throw up a new post. :D
