It appears that Laurell and Jon just made Fandom_Wank.

Moreover, someone apparently deleted all the reviews for Incubus Dreams off amazon.com. No, I'm not pointing fingers (although, yeah, in all likelihood it was Jon). Regardless, the reams of overwhelmingly negative comments are gone (and apparently brand-new negative comments are taking their place!).

It's a sad, sad day when you want to tell the author "You! Out of my fandom!"

The reams and reams are still there. I just checked.

There were, however, problems tonight with reviews, and not just for LKH.

However, when examined, 465+ reviews showed up for ID, and most of them were foul. They dated back weeks, if not months. I stopped checking somewhere around mid January.

The ratings were almost overwhelmingly foul, besides.

Bugger. That's what comes of second-hand information, I guess.

*shrugs* Meh. Ah well.

And I think at one point I got up to October of the "OMG LAURELL IS RAPING HER OWN WORLD" reviews. That may have been a couple months ago, however. I have enough information to go on until I buy the book in paperback (which, yeah, I'll do...hey, at least I know what I'm getting into).

And the sad thing is... Laurell still will not get it, because she's "protected" from everything (when was the last time you saw her site link to a review that was less-than-glowing?) and there are enough dopey teenagers to keep her pockets lined.

I think I'm not the only one who refuses to buy hardcovers anymore, but I have heard from a baffling number of people who still pay $22+ just so they can have a freshly-published copy in their hot little hands. It's amazing how many people want their LKH fix NOW NOW NOW, and are willing to PAY for it, as opposed to, you know, borrowing it from the library or something. *shakes head*

You're not the only one. Maybe, if I spotted one in the bargain bin at the bookstore for less than ten bucks... But until then, the library is my friend. Especially with these later ones, being as I'm fairly sure I'm not going to want to read them again. ;)

Beside, Anita doesn't control her sex-drive, but is controlled by the *fanfare* Ardeur.
