anyone interested in a communal fan club membership?

Guessing from the levels of dissatisfaction here, I reckon most of you don't have a fan club membership *g* Someone had bought me one, and it's going to expire this summer. Hence, a plan!

If you guys are interested, I'll renew it. We can have... a group membership. Everyone pitches in $2 or something, and we can send the newsletter around (in which the group "fee" would be applied to postage) or make "alternative arrangements" (which edge to the not-quite-so-legal, and hence I won't come right out and say it *g* But I'm sure you can guess). Something would be arranged. Good idea? Bad idea? I know it would mean we'd be reading more of her drivel, but... know thy enemy and all that.

Anyway, it's just an idea. I thought I'd gauge interest levels well in advance of my renewal date.

Hm, I live in Europe, so I don't know if a scan of the letter (it's an old fashioned letter) wouldn't be better. You know transport time and such, not to mention, that the postage would be really high (around 1-2 € per letter to USA)

That's a possibility too =) That's why I wanted to ask far in advance: to see if people had better ideas than I did, because I'm sure people will have great suggestions.

The scans would either have to be emailed, or on a password-protected site, to minimize our legal questionability, though.

Me = Australia and unable to send you money, although the cost of actually sending you actual money via post will probably be more than the donation.

I'd be interested in that. How much does a membership cost per year? Because how much we'd need to put in depends on how much it costs/how many people contribute.
