I'm not seeing any irony, but to link to a specific tweet, you would click the time stamp on the tweet. For instance, "about 2 hours ago" or "11:45 August 1."

Everyone is getting sick and injured right now because a book is severely overdue. It's LKH's standard MO. She dicks around until the last minute and ends up all writer's blocked. So as an excuse she starts getting sick with various illnesses and injured in various minor accidents/incidents. She was blogging and tweeting somewhat less than normal this week up until yesterday, then she started tweeting her head off. Today was her usual "I'm such a workaholic, work, work, work" blog. She's either trying to convince herself or her agent/publisher that she's a really, really hard worker. I'd think everyone would be more impressed if she stopped tweeting and blogging and wrote the darn book.

Honestly, I don't think she's changed so much as she was allowed to become the person that she really was underneath due to Jon and others letting her behave that way. I think that she feels justified now, whereas before, she would have had to act like a grownup. It really is sad, I agree.

Totally off-topic- I LOVE your icon! May I steal it? I really want the picture of that kitty. It's like the feline equivalent of my pug puppy when she's pissed. So cute! ^_^

I think the "irony" referred to here is the "priorities changed" seeing as she appears, from her blog, to have prioritized everything else on Earth above finishing her long-overdue book.

So nursing Jon has displaced all of her work-avoidance strategies (answering every stupid question people ask on her forums, posting the most obvious advice ever about tattoos as though it were revelatory and ground-breaking, etc.), rather than her actual work.

Did anyone else notice LKH wasn't doing ComicCon (http://twitter.com/LKHamilton/status/2799969159) this year? Apparently too many deadlines, but I suspect the presence of a highly anticipated (and highly attended) Twilight panel might have something to do with it given her recent comments to EW.

I noticed she wasn't there and I was a bit surprised, seeing as this is the year of the vampire, apparently.

It's not just Twilight making a sparkly splash there either. You cannot get away from the True Blood marketing. The success of that show from the exact genre that she 'kind of pioneered' must really sting.

Next year LKH will have her own tv series of sorts to promote and she'll have her own panels. She can hang with the cool kids again.

is she really going to do the tv series this time? Last time they wouldn't give her enough control, so it got dropped. Judging by the comics, letting her have too much creative control is a bad idea. OTOH, it means we'll get to see someone wearing leather pants and thigh high leather boots :)

I'm sure that "True Blood" was the sole reason why LKH just HAD to have a series of her own. I bet that her camp was the one peddling "AB:VH" to every cable channel under the sun (and was told "NO!"). I know that the "Twilight" and "True Blood" press cuts like a knife, because she made rather snarky comments on her blog about how they were all just copying her and how robbed she was after reading an article in TV Guide about the vampire craze. She was barely mentioned, and boy was she pissed.

For some reason, I don't think that her series will last a year if it's even going to live past it's pilot episode. I can't imagine what it's going to be about. Is it going to be porn or the inane crap that they use for the comics? Or, gasp, all-new content? (That last one I doubt)And it's going to be running on a channel that very, very few people have even hear of, let alone get.
