I'm studying to be a psychologist, specifically a forensic psychologist, so personality and psychological consequences fascinate me to no end. I love to explore the whys and the whats behind the effects trauma like torture and death have on a person. Of course, on the flip side, I have to be careful that I don't go too much into that and balance it out with telling the story, but you catch my drift.

Long story short, I'd rather write about the emotional journey of a character than have everything magically fixed.
