Same thing with me. I live less than 2 blocks from the main transit center for my town (older inner suburb of Philly). I'm constantly getting approached by panhandlers. If I have the cash on me I give it to them. I've never been terrified by them. But then again I'm not the speshulest of all speshul snowflakes.
