I was, um, pre-teen/early teen then (aka my British Slang Phase). My slang has never conformed to any particular time period or place. For someone as relatively conventional as Anita (I mean, take away the zombie-raising and magic powers, and she's your average uberdramatic teenager with a Madonna/Whore complex) to be acting stuck in the 80s is a little peculiar.
